HES First Grade School Visits

We’re so excited to issue your first grader a library card!

Your child’s teacher will keep this library card for the school year so that your child can use it during monthly class visits to the public library. The teacher will send your child’s library card home at the end of the school year.

For class visits after first grade your child can bring their card from home, or we can look them up in the computer.

Hatfield Public Library is Part of CW/MARS

Your child can use their Hatfield Library card at any CW/MARS library and items from our library can be returned to any CW/MARS library! https://www.cwmars.org/libraries

Please note: Hatfield Elementary School books must be returned to HES — make sure you check the labels carefully.

Automatic Renewals

Books from our library check out for 3 weeks and will automatically renew twice (9 weeks total). Lending times from other libraries vary. See your email for library notices.

Hatfield is a Fine Free Library

Even if it’s been a really long time, you can return any overdue books to the Hatfield Library and your account will be cleared of any fines!

We do ask that you work with us to help pay for or replace lost or damaged items.
